I suspect all animals, two-footed and four-footed, have some type of inbuilt dislike to learning something new. The easiest learning is unconscious learning, of the sort a baby picks up from its mother. Conscious learning engenders negative reactions like laziness, mental blocks, fear of failure, and angriness at having to do something one would prefer not to. Detachment to learning worsens as one gets older.
